1st FIDE Olympiad for PwD 2023 R4: India holds Hungary to a draw
03/02/2023 - India held Hungary to a draw in the fourth round of FIDE Olympiad for People with Disabilities 2023. Kishan Gangolli scored the key victory to make sure the team maintains their unbeaten streak. IM Shashikant Kutwal and Darpan Inani drew their respective games. Naveen Kumar A suffered the sole loss. Philippines lost to Poland 1.5-2.5. Thus, Poland has gained sole lead 8/8, followed by India at 7/8. India will face the tournament leader Poland in the penultimate round which will be like a virtual final. The result of this match will have huge implications on which team will fight for Gold.
