Hyderabad is all set to host its next big event - 2nd Aspiring Minds International Rapid Rated Open 2026
The city of Hyderabad is all set to witness another major chess event. After a huge success of the first edition conducted in May 2025 which attracted 785 participants across the country, Aspiring Minds Chess Academy team led by renowned coach and player IM FT Ravi Teja, has announced its 2nd edition on 14th & 15th February 2026. The total cash prize for the two day event is Rs. 4,00,000 with the 1st prize of Rs.60,000. The tournament will be held at the Saroornagar Indoor Stadium, Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad, Telangana.
After a huge success of the 1st Aspiring Minds Rapid Rating Open 2025, the Aspiring Minds Chess Academy team announces its 2nd edition on 14th & 15th February 2026. With a total cash prize of Rs.4,00,000 for the two day event, this is going to be one of the biggest events conducted in the city. Entry fee is Rs. 2000 for all players and categories. Special free entries will be there for GMs,IMs,WGMs & WIMs. The time control is 25minutes plus a 10 second increment after each move. The 1st Aspiring Minds Rapid Rating Open 2025 was won by Bharat Kumar Reddy Poluri. Bharat scored an unbeaten 8.5/9 and finished a half point ahead of the field.

Aspiring Minds Chess Academy is founded by WFM Anusha SLV & WCM/FI Madhanasri G and is led by IM/FT Ravi Teja S. The academy operates online with fifteen plus trainers team and around ninety plus active students all over the world. It has offline branches in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad, Telangana providing intensive full day training to the young aspiring kids to achieve their rating gains and national titles.
