India starts as the top seed in Group B at World Teams 2022 starting today
20/11/2022 - Three months after winning the Bronze medal at the 44th Chess Olympiad 2022, Indian men's team will start their FIDE World Team Championship campaign on Sunday 20th November at Jerusalem, Israel. The tournament format is same as last year's World Women Team Championship 2021. The top four teams from each group will advance to the Quarterfinals. India finished at fourth place in the previous edition in 2019, they would definitely like to better that finish this time. Team India consists of Vidit Gujrathi, Nihal Sarin, S L Narayanan, Sethuraman S P, K Sasikiran and Abhijeet Gupta. Round 1 starts today at 6:30 p.m. IST. Photo: FIDE/Mark Livshitz
