20th Delhi GM Open 2023 R8: Aravindh is back in the lead
29/03/2023 - The reigning three-time National Rapid and Blitz champion, GM Aravindh Chithambaram got himself back in the lead. He defeated GM Marat Dzhumaev when the Uzbek's positional exchange sacrifice did not work out the way he wanted. GM Michal Krasenkow drew with GM Volodar Murzin which means both Volodar and Aravindh are at 7.5/8 each. They will inevitably face each other in the penultimate round. IM Neelash Saha drew with GM Luka Paichadze and the current National Sub-Junior champion, S Aswath held the strong GM Lalit Rohit to a draw.
